Privacy Policy

ChatGPodT (www.chatgpodt.com) turns podcast episodes into AI summaries called PodDrops and lets you chat with them in PodChats. Questions about this policy: admin@chatgpodt.com.

• Account details: your email address, display name and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash.
• What you submit: podcast links, show subscriptions, PodChat questions, design settings and any logo you upload.
• What we generate for you: transcripts, PodDrops and PodChat answers.
• Billing: your plan, credit balance and usage history. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your full card number.
• Referrals and support: a friend's email address if you send them an invite, and the messages you send to support.
• Technical data: server logs such as IP address and browser type, used for security and troubleshooting.

To run the service: transcribe and summarise episodes, email you PodDrops, answer PodChat questions, manage credits and payments, provide support and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

• Microsoft Azure hosts the app, database and files, transcribes audio (Azure AI Speech) and runs the AI models that write PodDrops and PodChats (Azure AI Foundry). Microsoft does not use this data to train its models.
• Stripe processes payments.
• Azure Communication Services sends our emails.
• When a PodChat question is not covered by the episode, the question may be sent to a web search service to find an answer.

Data is stored in Microsoft Azure data centres in Canada and the United States.

We keep your sign-in session in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

A PodDrop page can be opened by anyone who has its link. These pages are marked so search engines do not index them.

We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page; this removes your PodDrops, transcripts, uploaded logo and usage history. We keep billing records for as long as the law requires.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to how we use it. Email admin@chatgpodt.com and we will respond within 30 days.

ChatGPodT is for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children.

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and, where appropriate, email you.
